These can be spiral springs but also hairpin springs. The height of the springs is very important. Often the position of the saddle is looked at without someone sitting on it. It should look nice. The seat should follow the line from the top of the gas tank to the rear axle. However, if someone of ± 100Kg then takes a seat on the saddle, the position of the saddle becomes much too low and the person slides off the saddle. So if you go for comfort, place slightly higher springs under the hinged solo motorcycle seat. If you go for the looks, make sure the saddle is in a nice position.
